Foreclosure...my neighbor too

Well, as I look outside everyday for the tell tale sign for southern California foreclosure: brown grass., or as I like to call it, another dead soldier. I even have my real estate agent calling it that now. I drive around the neighborhood everyday looking for browning grass, as I know that's the next foreclosure. I would think most of my neighborhood will be eventually going through it. We all bought the houses at 25 percent higher than they are selling for now. They're still being built.

So today I saw another sign of foreclosure in the neighberhood; the person driving around looking for addresses, and then finding it, and taking photos of the foreclosing house. This must be a booming business, taking pictures of foreclosures. My wife and I stopped and talked to the guy taking pictures of ours. We asked him if we could have the whole family in the foreclosure picture. He said no, to our chagrin.

My next door neighbor got his house photographed today. I did notice the browning grass. Why pay to have your grass green and not pay your mortgage? I actually have turned my sprinklers back on, because the kids were complaining of "crunchy grass". Brown grass hurts on bare feet. Another experience of the foreclosure.

Foreclosure waiting

Everyday my wife and I wake up and wonder; when will we have to move. So far it still amazes me with the forclosure process. Here we haven't paid our mortgage in almost 10 months, or almost $50,000, and they won't modify our loan. Can anyone tell me if the foreclosure makes sense?

Foreclosure

Well, foreclosure is an up and down rollercoaster process. The crazy thing about our foreclosure: I make a six figure income, our house is worth $200,000 less than we paid for it, and they won't modify our loan to what they're eventually going to get anyway........it doesn't make sense. I scratch my head about this everyday. Here we are looking at new houses to buy, using my in laws to buy it under their name, we rent it from them, for exactly what our house is worth. We're actually thinking about buying a house in our own neighborhood. It's nuts. Oh, well.

Foreclosure Sucks

Why do I have to be going though this, it sucks!!!!!!!!!! It takes a long time. Is that good or bad....? For almost a year my life has turned upside down, WHY ME !!! My kids my kids what is going to happen.... I have a 9,4,2 year old and a 10 month old. My 9 year old wants to stay at her school she is so sad ! Me on the other hand, I am thinking where are you going to put our heads to sleep at night..... Why! At least we have food on the table:) Don't know where we will put our table but theres food on it...! Why won't the banks help, I just don't get it. Did they or didn't they get us into this mess and now my faimly goes homless with out a tear from there eye. That is o.k. I have cryed for all for us all and then some...! They say it will get better but how are they and do they care. Maybe when they see my kids crying when my kid are forced out of there home. Please give me a payment I can pay. I want to be in my home, my kids want to stay in there home and school...

Foreclosure/ what happens?

Well, we stopped paying our mortgage in July of 08......my pay got cut by 75% then I found another job...my old job. Still lost about 50% of my income. So, then my wife started calling the bank everyday for months. Trying to do a loan modification to avoid foreclosure. On top of that, our house that we put $140,000 down on and paid $640,000 for, is now selling for $400,000.........brand new, with upgrades from the builder. So, my question, in great frustration, is this: why wouldn't the bank modify the loan. They're going to get less than $400,000 once it's bank owned.

So with the months of calling the bank to get a loan modification, they finally did...........only one problem.... OUR PAYMENT WENT UP!!!!!!!. Are you kidding me? Why not short sale the house back to us, for what they will get? doesn't that make sense, rather than foreclosing?

Fortunately, our kids are young enough that it probably won't affect them too much to move,.... maybe our oldest..... which is the hardest of all.

Foreclosure?

We never would have thought in a million years we would go through a foreclosure. 4 kids, great job, mom stays at home, we bought our first house, great credit, then saved and bought a bigger house. WHat happened?

Now I still have a great job,; but my pay got cut, the economy is slow, and I don't get it. The so called stimulus isn't doing anything for us. I live in a neighborhood that is still under development and they're selling my house for $200,000 less than I paid for it..........ouch.
